We reported on 17th June about Rajinikanth’s medical trip to America. He took to a private jet to fly to US where he was accompanied by his wife Lata Rajinikanth, daughter Aishwarya Dhanush and grandchildren. He returned to Chennai this morning after staying there for three weeks and completing treatment.






Health history


Reports reveal that Thalaiva has not been keeping well with his health since 2011. He was admitted to a private hospital near Chennai following renal complications. However, he was referred to Mount Elizabeth Medical Center in Singapore for further treatment. But, the hospital officials never revealed the real condition of his health.


Though, before leaving for Singapore for medical treatment, his daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth shared a short audio message recorded by Rajini.


Renal Transplant


He returned to normal life in 2016 after getting treated at Singapore hospital. Later he also underwent a kidney transplant in the same year in the United States. Rumors also have it that daughter Soundarya donated one kidney to her father.






Pandemic delayed the health check-up


In this case, the 'Annaathe' actor did not go for a medical examination for the last two years due to the pandemic that disrupted the international air service. Recently, when America lifted the lockdown and opened its airports for international travellers, Rajinikanth rushed to New York taking a private jet.
 
Clicked outside the Mayo Clinic
 
He underwent a medical examination at the famous Mayo Clinic, a renowned health care company in America. The star was spotted leaving the clinic after a check-up with his elder daughter Aishwarya.


Annaatthe Shoot


Rajinikanth soon to begin to shoot the remaining portion for his next film 'Annaatthe' which is set for November release. As Thalaiva returned home after successful medical examination fans seems more than excited for the film which will release after a long hiatus.
