Kerala police traced Naushad, who went missing over a year ago and was believed to have been murdered by his wife in Thodapuzha. The police on Friday traced Naushad who went missing from his home at Pathanamthitta to Kalanjoor from Thodapuzha.

According to Manorama, Naushad said that he did not see any reports related to his disappearance. He also said that he did not see his wife's claim that he had murdered him. Naushad said that he did not even have a mobile phone.

Talking to the reporters, Naushad said that he was willing to assist in the continuing investigation but that he does not want to go back to his wife. Noushad continued saying that he was not aware of his wife's accusation that she had murdered him. He did, however, acknowledge that he worried and had problems with his wife.

Naushad said that he left Pathanamthitta after he ended up frequently fighting with his wife over family issues.

He said that he left his home after the neighbour's of his wife's place attacked him when he was in an inebriated state.

Naushad was located by Thodupuzha police after they learned that a missing person was at a house in Thodupuzha. The tip-off was given to the police by Naushad's co-worker.

Naushad was employed in a rubber plantation for the past one-and-a-half years.

Naushad made news after police booked his wife Afsana for allegedly murdering him. Afsana had also confessed to murdering her husband and burying his remains.

Before his disappearance, he was staying with Afsana at a rented home in Paruthipara.

However, Afsana had been giving contradictory statements to the police team. The police even took Afsana to some places including a rented house to find the body. However, police could not find out even after digging up the area where she told the police that it was buried.
