The Enforcement of Directorate attached various immovable properties of Udhayanidhi Stalin Foundation valued at Rs 34.7 crore across Tamil Nadu. The seizure was due to the case of Kallal Group and others.
According to ANI, “ED has provisionally attached various immovable properties across Tamil Nadu, on 25/5/2023 valued at Rs. 36.3 Crore and further attached Rs. 34.7 lakh available in the bank account of Udayanidhi Stalin Foundation in the case of Kallal Group and others.”

In August 2021, Udhayanidhi Stalin launched the 'Udhayanidhi Stalin Foundation' and distributed welfare schemes worth Rs 90 lakh. The inauguration was on the third anniversary of former CM MK Karunanidhi. During the occasion, Dayanidhi Maran appreciated the works of Udhayanidhi Stalin and said that his works should not just be restricted to the Chepauk constituency.
The case was reportedly initiated after UK-based Lyca Group gave a complaint against Kallal ground and its key functionaries. The ED also raided firms related to the accused and complaintant. During the search, the ED also found digital documents and hawala transaction, said a report on DT Next. All investigations are still on.

The Production house has produced several notable movies including Ponniyin Selvan:I and Ponniyin Selvan: II. Last week, ED raided the offices of Lyca Productions in Chennai.
Lyca Productions is also credited for the making of Tamil movies including Kaththi, Enakku Innoru Per Irukku, Khaidi No. 150, Yaman, Ippadai Vellum, Diya, Kollamaavu Kokila, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, Vada Chennai among others.
