Tamil Nadu BJP chief Annamalai met Governor RN Ravi on Wednesday and submitted DMK Files 2.0. In the submitted documents, Annamalai has alleged three scams connected to DMK Ministers, MLAs, MPs and their first family at a value of Rs 5,600 Crores. The BJP leaders have also presented a memorandum seeking Governor's intervention and suitable action against the corruption charges. 


Taking to Twitter, Annamalai said, "Today, along with the Senior leaders of @BJP4TamilNadu, we had the opportunity to meet our Hon Governor of TN, Thiru RN Ravi avl. We presented a memorandum seeking his excellency’s intervention & suitable action concerning Part 2 of DMK files with documents on Benami connected to the DMK Ministers/MLAs/MPs & the first family & 3 scams for a value of ₹5600 Crores."

Earlier, Annamalai, an IPS officer-turned-politician released a 'corruption file' of DMK leaders including CM Stalin in April in the name of DMK Files 1. He had said that more such files would be released. 


After DMK files: Part 1, a counsel on behalf of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin registered a defamation case against TN BJP chief Annamalai after the latter released 'DMK files' alleging corruption by DMK and DMK-led government in April 2023. 


The petition was moved by public prosecutor Devaraj who said that the files 'released' by Annamalai to the press on April 14 were baseless and without any valid proof.


The petitioner also requested the court to take action against Annamalai under the defamation act of IPC.
