Meanwhile, according to the report received from Baghpat, there was a ruckus in the election for the post of District Panchayat President, after an unknown woman pretended to be Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) candidate Mamta Kishore and tried to withdraw her name from the election. At the same time, Mamta Kishore claimed to be in Rajasthan by posting a video on the Internet. On this, RLD workers started a ruckus outside the District Magistrate's office. Later, Baghpat District Magistrate Rajkamal Yadav told that a woman had come to withdraw her nomination by pretending to be a RLD candidate. On receiving the complaint, the investigation was done and a phone call was made to RLD candidate Mamta Kishore. Enrollment not returned. Both RLD and BJP candidates will contest the elections.
Mamta Kishore RLD-SP joint candidate in Baghpat
The District Magistrate said that the woman who gave the affidavit by forging her signature will be investigated and based on the investigation report, strict legal action will be taken against her. RLD workers, creating a ruckus, calmed down after they were assured that strict measures will be adopted against the culprit. RLD leaders alleged that the administration is attacking democracy by employing a woman to withdraw her (Mamta's) nomination by posing as Mamta Kishore. RLD workers have released a video confirming that Mamta is in Rajasthan. An unknown woman posed as Mamta Kishore and took back her nomination from the election. Given the possibility of commotion, many security personnel have been deployed.
Before the nomination on Saturday, RLD candidate Mamta Kishore met journalists along with her husband Jaikishore and alleged that some BJP leaders had threatened her. However, now Mamta Kishor is the joint candidate of RLD-SP in Baghpat and she will face BJPs Babli Devi.
