Lucknow: Samajwadi Party chief and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has claimed that the Yogi Adityanath-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government will be wiped out in the state in the upcoming assembly polls.
Yadav said that the incumbent government has insulted every person and lied more than any previous government. "It seems that BJP is running a training centre for lies. Rumours are being spread to mislead the public," he alleged.
UP Polls To Be Country's Biggest Elections - Akhilesh
Akhilesh Yadav has said that the UP polls will be the biggest election in the country. He even appealed to his party workers to remain vigilant about EVMs and DMs. Akhilesh alleged that EVMs and DMs were used fraudulently in Bihar elections, but they got the correct reply in Bengal.
Earlier, Akhilesh Yadav told the workers that the BJP is eyeing the booths with undemocratic intentions and it is time for the SP workers to prove their mettle to save democracy.
"The Samajwadi Party has asked its workers to get together in their respective areas without wasting time. There should be no lapses in this work, there should be no lapse at the booth and the workers should not forget that they are not going to get such an opportunity again," he said.
"While all workers have to be sincerely engaged in the task of saving the sanctity of this celebration of democracy (2022 assembly elections), one has to be fully vigilant of the undemocratic intentions of the BJP," the former Chief Minister said.
"BJP is eyeing the booths with fascist intentions and it is time for SP workers to undergo an acid test to save the democracy," Yadav said adding that SP is formulating a strong strategy in this regard so that BJP does not cheat with people's mandate.
