Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Sunday arrived in Ayodhya for his visit to the temple. He said that the Shiv Sena has the blessings of Lord Ram which is why their party symbol is 'Bow and Arrow'. During the day, he will be visiting Ram Mandir to take Lord Ram's blessings followed by Aarti and then he will go to Lakshman Kila.






Thousands of Shiv Sainiks are expected to accompany him during the visit and later in the day, he is expected to attend a public gathering.






Posters and banners across Ayodhya can be seen to welcome CM Shinde.


News agency ANI posted a video on Twitter showcasing the posters across the city.






One of the posters had "Blessings of Lord Ram, Bow and Arrow a representation of Hindutva," written on it. 


Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis while talking to the reporters said that he is thrilled to be in Ayodhya to take blessings of Lord Ram. He said, "I am very happy that I am going to Ayodhya to take blessings from Lord Ram. I have been wanting to take Lord Ram's blessings for a long time and today I've got the chance to do it. I am associated with Ram Janambhoomi Andolan. I have been present in all the Karseva and that's why I am here today to take the Lord's blessings."






The Maharashtra CM will be spending around 9 hours in the city as per reports. 


On Friday, the chief minister flagged off a special train carrying Shiv Sainiks to the temple town amid chants of 'Jai Shri Ram'.
