A few residents of Gaur Home residential complex in Ghaziabad's Govindpuram got stuck in an elevator on Monday for around 15 minutes before they got rescued by their fellow residents. The incident happened as the elevator stopped midway due to some unknown technical reasons. News agency PTI shared a video showcasing the victims getting rescued. As per the video, the doors of the elevator were open, and one by one, the people who were stuck inside got pulled outside.

In another incident, a 24-year-old housekeeping staff was crushed to death at a hotel in Chennai after one of his legs got trapped outside the service lift. The accused was identified as K Abhishek, a resident of Haider Garden main road in Perambur. Police filed a case of negigence against three people in this matter, reported news agency ANI.
As per a police official, the incident took place at 2 pm on Sunday at the hotel located on Dr Radhakrishnan Salai in the city.
The incident took place when Abhishek was on his way down in an elevator after he completed his work on the ninth floor of the hotel. He was carrying a trolley along with him. According to the police, the trolley got stuck in the lift's door when he entered the lift and pressed the button to reach the 8th floor. A police official while talking about the matter to ANI said, "He entered the lift on the 9th floor with a trolley around 2.30 pm. He pressed the button for the 8th floor, but the trolley got stuck in the door and Abhishek was trapped in between as the lift started moving. He got trapped between the lift and the 8th floor where he was crushed to death."
