Uttarakhand has achieved a significant milestone by securing the top position in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Index for 2023-24, as per the report released by NITI Aayog on Friday. In his congratulatory message, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami credited the people of Uttarakhand for this remarkable achievement. "This accomplishment has been achieved with the blessings and cooperation of the people of the state," he said.
Dhami further acknowledged the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the efforts of the state government. "Under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, with the development-oriented efforts of our double engine government, today our state has moved forward towards becoming a leading state. Uttarakhand getting the top position in the SDG Index 2023-2024 report released by NITI Aayog is a direct proof of this," he added.
All-Round And Holistic Development Is Uttarakhand Govt's Priority: CM Pushkar Dhami
The NITI Aayog report highlighted Uttarakhand's success in meeting the criteria for the Sustainable Development Goals, earning the highest marks in the country.
Chief Minister Dhami emphasised the state's ongoing commitment to establishing a transparent system and achieving comprehensive development. "Our government is continuously moving forward in the direction of 'Developed Uttarakhand' with the coordination of ecology and economy. Our top priority is to establish a transparent system in the state and to achieve all-round and holistic development," he remarked.
