Haridwar: Firm representatives were questioned by an investigation team formed by the District Magistrate on Thursday to find out more about fake Covid-19 testing at Kumbh Mela. The representatives of the accused companies, Max Corporate Service and Hisar-based Nalwa labs, reached Vikas Bhawan to present their defence.


The case is registered at the office of CDO Saurabh Gaharwar in Vikas Bhawan located at District Headquarters Roshnabad,


While the operators of Delhi's Lalchandani Lab have asked to come to Haridwar on Monday. At the same time, CDO Sourav Gaharwar questioned the representatives of Max Corporate Service in his office. The CDO questioned the representatives for about 6 hours behind closed doors.


Representatives of Max Corporate Service said that they were called for questioning by the investigating officer CDO and they gave all the information. There is full cooperation in the investigation on our part.


The investigating officers said that they had an agreement with both the labs. It was the responsibility of the lab to do the testing and now this matter is also being investigated. The cases of 100,000 fake tests have reportedly come from Nalwa Lab.

The testing lab held responsible


Representatives of Max Corporate Service say that Max Corporate Service has not done the testing, and the lab that conducted the testing is not being questioned. We are being dragged into this matter without any reason. Max added that we had contracts with only two labs.


CDO Saurabh Gaharwar says, "Today representatives of Max Corporate Service and both the labs have come through us. They were called for questioning and on our behalf the representatives of Max Corporate Service were questioned. Nalwa Lab was interrogated by the team of SIT formed by the police. They were questioned at around 10:30 am and were ordered to present several documents".


Meanwhile, the operators of Delhi's Lalchandani Lab have asked them to come to Haridwar on Monday.


The investigation is also being done on behalf of the SIT team formed through the SSP on the fake testing case. SSP Senthil Abudai Krishnaraj S says that since the case was registered in the fake testing case, SIT was formed on our behalf and now the investigation is underway on this matter. We have issued notice to the concerned authorities in the fake testing case.
