Uttar Pradesh News: A head constable, along with a dozen others, allegedly thrashed a student from Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur, fired a bullet at him to scare him, and took turns to urinate in his mouth on Tuesday, police said, as per news agency PTI. Ayush Dwivedi, 23, an MCA student was abducted by the men from the Civil Lines area, where Ayush had gone to meet someone. They drove him five kilometers away to Cooperganj, where the incident took place in a bid to settle scores, the police informed.
According to PTI's report, the head constable had put forth a complaint case against the student in October last year under Section 307. The men who abducted him took him to the railway tracks near Cooperganj, where they forced him to drink their urine and lick their spit from their slippers.

In an attempt to scare him off, a bullet was fired at him that passed close to his earlobe. As per Joint Commissioner of Police, Crime, Nilabja Choudhury, the police arrested three persons, including the head constable identified as Dharmendra Yadav and two residents of Kalyanpur named Nandu Dubey and Ayush Mishra, posted at the Local Intelligence Unit, reported PTI.
The senior official also revealed that several teams have been appointed to probe into the matter and arrest the other suspected offenders who have gone underground. The head constable was also processed for suspension after his arrest, and a departmental inquiry will also be initiated on him apart from the legal action as reported by PTI.
As per information provided by Kalyanpur Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Abhishek Kumar Pandey to PTI, the student had gone to meet a girl at the Civil Lines area along with his friend Abhishek, alias Bittu, after getting a friend request from her on Instagram on Monday.
As per the ACP, the other accomplices identified as Himanshu Yadav, Ishant Chauhan, Mohit, Shubham Sonkar, Ayush Mishra, Rajat, and Nandu Dubey, were already present there in a car. Although Ayush saw the car, he was unaware of their ill intentions. The men then forced him to get inside the car at gunpoint and drove off to the railway tracks near Cooperganj.
Himanshu Yadav then also called his father's head constable, Dharmendra Yadav, to the location.
According to PTI, a case has been registered against the eight above-mentioned persons, along with two unnamed suspects, under sections 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 377 (unnatural offences), 307 (attempt to murder), 364 (kidnapping or abducting in order to murder), and 147 (punishment for rioting), of the Indian Penal Code.
