After a video of a guard getting a facial at a Kasturba Gandhi Balika Awasiya Vidyalaya in Shamli, Uttar Pradesh went viral, Komal Sangwan, the Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA), stated that a probe committee was set up. Based on the committee’s report, the guard prima facie is guilty. She added that the other staff were also found guilty. A Police complaint was registered against the guard.

She added that these incidents are not new, one of the incidents is from about 2 years ago, while another was from the wintertime.

Sangwan while speaking to ANI was quoted as saying, "This incident came into my knowledge yesterday only, I  set up a probe committee for this and the report of the committee has come, prima facie, the watchman is guilty. The other staff are also found guilty so action will be taken against them as well. We have issued notice and a Police complaint is being registered against the watchman. One of these incidents is from 2 years back and the other is from winter time, recent..."

This comes after a video surfaced of a school student giving a guard a facial, and another student was seen sweeping and cleaning the school premises while the staff were watching over them. The video has shocked netizens.

There have been several incidents where students have been made to do things they are not supposed to in a school. Last year, the headmistress of a school in Bengaluru was suspended after a video, purportedly showing students cleaning the school toilet, went viral, news agency PTI reported.
