Noida: The Noida administration has issued an order directing for all restaurants to remain shut from 10 pm to 6 am and has also discontinued home delivery within the timings.
ABP Ganga spoke to Noida Additional DCP Kumar Ranvijay to find out about the administration's decision.
During the conversation, DCP Kumar Ranvijay stated one of the reasons to be the ongoing battle against the Coronavirus pandemic. Also recently, a restaurant owner was shot dead in the district and the reason behind it was home delivery. Keeping these things in mind, the police administration has taken this step.

The state government is gradually succeeding in fighting the Coronavirus pandemic, but in view of Section 144 imposed in Noida from August 31 to September 30, all restaurants in the district will neither operate from 10 pm to 6 am nor be able to carry out home deliveries.
Restaurant traders share woes
While the restaurant association is disappointed with the order, the district administration is calling it a step towards tackling the pandemic and streamlining the law and order situation.
Recently, a restaurant owner was shot dead and the reason for this murder was home delivery. According to the police administration, only emergency and necessary services have been allowed to be opened at night. All other institutions will remain closed at that time. The purpose of enforcing Section 144 in the district is to completely control the Coronavirus pandemic and overhauling law and order.
After the administration's initiative, restaurant traders say that COVID has adversely impacted their business and now in such a situation, closing restaurants and not having home delivery will be a further blow to the business. Therefore, according to them, the administration should find another solution thinking about restaurant traders so that their business is not affected and law and order can be streamlined while fighting the pandemic.
