UP News: A 14-year-old boy from Kushinagar district was detained on Wednesday for reportedly threatening to blow up the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, news agency ANI reported, citing the police.
Kushinagar Superintendent of Police Dhawal Jaiswal said that the boy has an intellectual disability and is undergoing treatment. The police have also detained his grandmother, with whom he lived. Police officials stated that the boy called the police emergency number '112' on Tuesday night and threatened that he would blow up the temple with a bomb, ANI reported. He also shared posts with similar messages on his Instagram and other social media accounts.
According to ANI, the police sought the help of its cyber cell, traced the caller's location to Balua Takiya, a village under Patherwa police station limits in Kushinagara, and detained him.
The Ram Temple in Ayodhya has been constructed in the traditional Nagara style. Its length (east-west) is 380 feet; width is 250 feet and height is 161 feet. It is supported by a total of 392 pillars and 44 doors. The pillars and walls of the temple showcase intricately sculpted depictions of Hindu deities, Gods, and Goddesses. In the main sanctum sanctorum on the ground floor, the childhood form of Bhagwan Shri Ram (the idol of Shri Ramlalla) has been placed.
The Ram Temple was opened to the public after Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony on January 22, which was attended by top sportspeople and celebrities.
