Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated on Friday that the Indian Army represents the power and courage of the country's 140 million people. Only a powerful army can bring the goal of a safe and autonomous nation to fruition, he stated, according to an official statement issued by UP CMO. The Chief Minister kicked off the three-day 'Know Your Army' celebration in Lucknow's Surya Khel Parisar. While congratulating the Prime Minister and Defence Minister for organising the 'Know Your Army' festival outside the country's national capital for the first time, he stated, "It is a matter of pride that Lucknow-based Central Command has been selected for this ceremony."

The event was officially launched by CM Yogi, who released colourful balloons into the sky. During this time, troops from the Sikh Regiment demonstrated their valour to Punjabi music. The Chief Minister went to the show, which included army equipment and cutting-edge weapons. He also obtained knowledge on numerous weapons and military equipment from army officers.

In his remarks at the occasion, the Chief Minister stated that this is a chance for the state's young to get to know the Indian Army and recognise their bravery and valour. He described the Sikh Regiment's courage performance as spectacular, saying that this is the old art of India, through which our talented young used to respond appropriately to the invaders.

He was overjoyed that the Indian Army, by adopting this old skill of combat, not only honoured this legacy, but also highlighted the sacrifice and commitment of Sikh Gurus in order to encourage India's youth.

The Chief Minister went on to say that the 'Know Your Army' event allows us to not only observe a display of army equipment and weaponry, but also to come to know and comprehend the army's might, valour, and patriotism. People may learn about the army's armaments, working style, and operational skills through this event, which is normally unknown to the general public.

“UP is the land of heroes. Our soldiers have made important contributions in every battle fought for the security of the country. While protecting the country, our soldiers have brought pride to the state. The state government is also fully committed to the welfare of serving and retired soldiers. The government provides a financial reward of Rs 50 lakhs to the families of martyrs and offers a government job to one family member”, CM Yogi stated.

CM Yogi claimed that the country is now realising self-sufficiency targets in every field. In this sense, we are fast moving towards self-sufficiency in terms of military weaponry and equipment for the armed services.

"On this occasion, State Minister Swatantra Dev Singh, Commanding in Chief of Central Command Lieutenant General NS Raja Subramani, Chief of Staff of Central Command Lieutenant General Mukesh Chadha, State Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra, Administrative Advisor to the Chief Minister Avnish Kumar Awasthi, Former Minister Dr Mahendra Singh and a large number of army officers, soldiers and family members of the soldiers were present," the official statement reads.
