UP Assembly Election 2022: Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who came to Uttar Pradesh to take stock of the party's preparations for the upcoming assembly elections (UP Elections), held a meeting with senior party leaders on Tuesday, the second day of her visit to Lucknow.


Party's Uttar Pradesh unit media convener Lalan Kumar said Priyanka held a meeting with senior party leaders including party state president Ajay Kumar Lallu, party legislature party leader Aradhana Mishra at her Lucknow residence 'Kaul House'.


Kumar said Priyanka discussed the preparations for the upcoming assembly elections and the upcoming programmes and campaigns of the party in view of the elections in detail and gave necessary guidelines.


She said that the party will hold rallies at all divisional headquarters in the state in future and this was discussed in the meeting also.


Priyanka will arrive at Congress state headquarters


Lalan Kumar said Priyanka will arrive at the Congress state headquarters after the meeting and hold a meeting with other party functionaries and workers. He said that Priyanka will also hold a meeting with officials of party affiliates during her visit to Uttar Pradesh.


Significantly, Priyanka had arrived in Lucknow on Monday on her one-week visit to the state. Priyanka, who is active as the party's state in-charge, is constantly monitoring the party's preparations for the upcoming assembly elections and special emphasis is being laid on training workers and functionaries for preparations up to the booth level.
