New Delhi: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah will attend various events in Mathura and Gautam Buddha Nagar on Thursday, as part of the campaigning for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections, the official twitter handle of the Office of Amit Shah announced on Wednesday. 

The tweet mentions the schedule of Shah's program in Mathura and Gautam Buddha Nagar on Thursday. 





The events include a temple visit, effective voter dialogue, and a door-to-door contact campaign. The Home Minister's day-long public engagement started with his prayer at the Banke Bihari Temple, Vrindavan, at 11:30 am.

After this, Shah will attend the program 'Effective Voter Dialogue' in Mathura at 12:45 pm, according to the official schedule announced on Twitter. Mathura is a sacred city in Uttar Pradesh believed to be the birthplace of Lord Krishna.

At 3:15 pm, Shah will attend the third program of the day, 'Door to door contact campaign', in Dadri, Gautam Buddha Nagar. 

Shah's day-long engagement will end with another program of effective voter dialogue. The program is scheduled at 4:15 pm in Greater Noida, according to the tweet.

The Assembly Elections in Uttar Pradesh will be conducted in seven phases, commencing on February 10.

On February 14, the second phase of the elections will be held, followed by the third, fourth, and fifth phases on February 20, 24, and 27.

The sixth phase will be conducted on March 3 and 7, and the last phase will be held on March 7. 

The votes for the 403 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh will be counted on March 10.
