Two school children among three were killed in a road accident in Uttar Pradesh's Badaun on Monday. The two among three children were in the school van when it collided with a bus, as per news agency PTI. Visuals shared by the news agency showed the school van's front part completely shattered due to the collision. More details on the accident are awaited. 


On Sunday, atleast four people were killed while eight were left injured after an auto-rickshaw was hit by another vehicle in UP's Ballia district, said the police. The deceased and injured were native of Sadar Chowk in adjoining Mau district, as per a PTI report. 






Superintendent of Police (SP), S Anand said, "The deceased and the injured worked as cooks and were returning after completing their work at a marriage function in a village." "The auto-rickshaw was standing near Chilkahar village when another vehicle hit it. Twelve people, who were in the auto, were taken to district hospital where four of them were declared dead," he added. 


In a similar incident in Rajasthan, seven members of a family died while two others sustained injuries in a head-on collision between a car and a truck in Hanumangarh district, said the police on Sunday. The accident occured on Saturday night when the family was returning home from a function. 


The deceased were idenitified as Paramjeet Kaur (60), Khushvinder Singh (25), his wife Paramjeet Kaur (22), son Manjot Singh (5), Rampal (36), his wife Reena (35) and daughter Reet (12), said Station House Officer Ved Pal, according to PTI. The injured, who have been identified as Akashdeep Singh (14) and Manraj Kaur (2), were referred to a hospital in Bikaner.
