Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a review meeting in the State Secretariat to discuss women's safety and empowerment on Saturday. 


The CM stated that complaints of sexual assault and domestic violence against women in the state would be examined within one month.


"Cases of sexual assault and domestic abuse against women must be examined within one month. We will continue to monitor how such instances are handled in court. Action will be taken against government officials who do not work on such issues:" Pushkar Singh Dhami was quoted as saying by news agency ANI. 






The Chief Minister also launched a self-registration option on the Uttarakhand Police App called Gaurashakti for women working in government and non-government offices.






Dhami stated on Friday that developing a new Uttarakhand will necessitate a fundamental transformation in work culture.

To achieve the goal, everyone will have to quit their traditional work schedule of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., he added.


"We must shed this mindset and be ready to put in extra hours of work if needed to achieve the objective of building a new Uttarakhand," the chief minister said, adding, "We need to take the pain and move ahead to fulfil our new commitments," he was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.
