New Delhi: BJP leaders hailed the grand inauguration of Ayodhya Ram Temple and the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla. External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar on Monday stated that through the Pran Pratishtha ceremony the "soul of a civilisation" has found its expression once again. Taking to X, Jaishankar stated: "At the Pran Pratishtha ceremony today, the soul of a civilisation finds expression once again. And the message of virtue, honour, justice and commitment reverberates around the world."
Calling it a "historic day", BJP National President JP Nadda stated: "The whole nation is celebrating."
Union Minister of Tourism, Culture and Development of North Eastern Region G Kishan Reddy stated that such a big spiritual event "hasn't happened since India gained Independence."
"This (Pran Pratishtha) is the biggest spiritual ceremony in history. Crores of people have joined this event in person and virtually. Lord Ram's Pran Pratishtha is one of the biggest live events happening. From celebrities to industrialists, saints and leaders, all of them are present in Ayodhya today," Reddy stated.
After the ceremony, Tripura CM Manik Saha said: "This day was awaited for the last 500 years. This became possible due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The entire country is 'Ram may'. I thank PM Modi on behalf of everyone in Tripura."

On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the Ram Lalla idol at the Shri Ram Janmaboomi Temple in Ayodhya.
At the consecration event, the prime minister, RSS president Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh president Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Governor Ananadiben Patel all prayed to Ram Lalla. The idol was revealed in the Ram Temple in Ayodhya as part of the pranpratishtha ritual.
The 'Pran Pratisha' ritual of the idol of Ram Lalla amid chanting of Vedic verses took place around 12:30 pm as lakhs of people watched the event live on television and online platforms.
Meanwhile, a multi-layer security cover was put in place with installation of 10,000 CCTVs and drones equipped with artificial intelligence to keep an eye on the movement of people. Police personnel in plain clothes were also deployed at the venue.
Uttar Pradesh Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) personnel had also conducted patrolling in the temple town two days prior to the event.
