New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor between 1pm and 1.30 pm on Monday.
As per the itinerary, Modi will come to Lalita Ghat and after taking Ganga Jal from there he will come to the temple complex. The rituals at the temple will be completed by this holy water.
On the occasion of the inauguration of the corridor, invitation has been sent to all the worshippers of 12 dwadash jyotirlingas for this grand event. The Peethadheeshwar and Dharma acharya of the four Peeth will also be present during the occasion.
It is said that many years back, the temples in Kashi were renovated by Ahilyabai. This is the first time since then that a renovation work at this level is taking place.
Ram Narayan Dwivedi, General Secretary of Kashi Vidvat Parishad, said, "Ahilyabai had renovated the temple, but even then only the sanctum sanctorum of the temple was built in and around it. This time, the resolution taken by PM Modi in 2014 is now being fulfilled.''
The temple complex is being specially decorated before the inauguration.
