All schools, colleges, universities and educational technical institutes will be closed between September 21 and 22 in Gautam Buddha Nagar in view of MotoGP Bharat and International Trade Show, 2023. The UP ITS 2023 is being organised at the India Expo Centre and Mart from September 21 to 25 while the debut of the Indian Grand Prix, also known as MotoGP Bharat is being held at the Buddha International Circuit, Greater Noida from September 22 to 24. Lakhs of visitors, including foreigners, are expected during both the international events in Greater Noida. President Droupadi Murmu is also likely to grace the events.


District Inspector of Schools (DIOs) Dr Dharmveer Singh on Monday wrote to the principals of all government and private schools (CBSE, ICSE and IB) to declare a holiday after 2 pm on September 21 to September 22 for all students.


He also issued a similar letter to the registrar, director, and principals of all universities, colleges and technical institutions. He further said institutes can hold online classes during the said period. The orders are applicable to all schools and educational institutions across Noida and Greater Noida.


Restrictions under CrPC Section 144, banning large assemblies of people and use of private drones will also be in place during this period.


Traffic Restrictions During MotoGP and UP International Trade Show


Heavy, medium and light goods vehicles will be barred from Delhi to Noida from September 21, 6 AM till 11:59 PM on September 25. Vehicles will not be allowed on Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, Yamuna Expressway, Pari Chowk Greater Noida, Expo Mart Knowledge Park and special routes- IFS Villa roundabout to NSG roundabout, Chuhadpur Underpass Chowk, Gautam Buddha University Chowk, Noida International University trisection, Galgotia University trisection, officials said.


Heavy vehicles will not be allowed on the DND Flyway, Chilla Road, Kalindi Kunj, New Ashok Nagar and Jhundpura borders. The goods carriers can only use national highways 24 and 91 to commute between Delhi and Noida during these days. 


Buses, other heavy vehicles and autos will also not be allowed on Noida-Greater Noida and Yamuna expressways. Vehicles which are marked essential like milk, vegetables, medicine etc will be allowed.
