Bulandshahr: A man stabbed his niece to death after accusing her of 'cheating' on him. The shocking incident took place on Monday in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr district. 


The accused, Vineet, a resident of a village in Dibairpur area, was allegedly having an affair with his niece, according to police.


According to a PTI report, the 26-year old woman, mother of two, left her in-laws' house on February 14th 2021 and went to Noida to stay with her uncle at a relative's place, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Santosh Kumar Singh said.

After facing constant pressure from the woman's in-laws and other family members the relative sent the woman back to her in-laws on March 7th 2021. It was also decided that the two would end their affair, the SSP said according to IANS.


Vineet was sent to Meerut at his sister's place.


On Monday evening, he visited the woman's in-laws' house to stab her with a knife multiple times, accusing her of cheating on him. She was taken to hospital, but died during treatment, SSP Singh said.
 

According to IANS, Vineet was in a relationship with the niece since the past few years and their families were extremely angry over this. Even after she married, they continued their affair. However, the niece wanted to end the relationship and had stopped meeting Vineet which angered him.
