New Delhi: Days after reaching a seat-sharing arrangement for Uttar Pradesh in Lok Sabha polls, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav joined Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Agra on Sunday. While speaking in the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, Akhilesh Yadav thanked the gathering and said, "...I would like to thank the public...In the coming days, the biggest challenge is to save the democracy, and the Constitution, to fulfill the dreams of Dr BR Ambedkar, that has been ruined by the BJP... 'BJP haatao, desh bachao..."










Akhilesh also added, "Agra city is known worldwide. I am pleased that they are carrying the shop of love, and this entire city is a city of love... In the coming times, saving democracy and the constitution is a challenge... We hope that the INDIA Alliance and PDA will work to defeat the NDA..."




Meanwhile, Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi addressed the gathering elabourating why the word 'Nyaay' was added to the Congress march. As per ANI, he said, "... If you are poor then you will face injustice in this country 24 hours... The reason for hatred is injustice, so we have added the word justice in our journey ..."






Earlier, a deal was reached by the two parties ending days of speculation about their alliance in UP. As per Congress Uttar Pradesh In-charge Avinash Pande, the Congress will contest 17 seats, while the remaining 63 will be fought by the SP.
