New Delhi: Makeovers and remixes of songs do not only happen in Bollywood but also in the political landscape of India. Former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has come up with a makeover of the famous ‘Khela Hobe’ jingle that was used during TMC’s election campaign in the last West Bengal Assembly elections.
Uploaded on YouTube, Khadeda Hoibe loosely translates to chasing out. The 3 minutes and 29 seconds video is a montage of various shots of the SP chief addressing rallies, supporter and graphics. The background music in Awadhi- Bhojpuri dialect talks about defeating Bharatiya Janata Party in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
The video was shared by the official Twitter handle of the Samajwadi Party.
The BJP has also come out with its own campaign jingle which was sung by party member, singer-actor-politician, Nirhaua.
Preparations for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections are in full swing. Both SP and BJP are holding rallies in different parts of the state.
