Gyanvapi Mosque Survey: Amid the ongoing ASI survey, the district administration in Varanasi has made preparations for the Friday Namaz as it is expecting around 2000 people for the prayers at the complex. The administration said that on normal days, around 750-800 worshipers come to Friday prayers. But, during that last hearing on the survey, a total of 1700-1800 people had offered Namaz in Gyanvapi Masjid. Meanwhile. the scientific survey of the mosque complex will resume after the Namaz at 2:30 PM.

The Archeological Survey of India on Friday resumed the scientific survey after Allahabad high court on Thursday dismissed the Anjuman Intezamia Masjid Committee's plea challenging the Varanasi District Court's July 21 order.

Meanwhile, Sudhir Tripathi, lawyer of the Hindu side, who was present inside Varanasi's Gyanvapi mosque complex during the ASI survey, said, "The scientific survey of Gyanvapi mosque complex started at 7 am today by a team of 40 experts. Photography and videography are being done. The survey will resume post-lunch. This survey will continue for a long time."

Earlier in the day, Tripathi said, "ASI can only tell as to how many days it will take to complete the survey. It took 7-8 months to complete the survey of the Ram temple in Ayodhya..."

"All people (including ASI officials) have reached there. The survey has started. We are also going inside," another lawyer from the Hindu side, Subhash Nandan Chaturvedi said.

"Allahabad High Court allowed the ASI to conduct the survey yesterday. ASI and the district administration have made all preparations. We are also going there. This survey is a step towards creating history...," Chaturvedi added.
