New Delhi: The Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh cabinet today held a meeting in which 22 out of 23 proposals were passed, sources told ABP News. This includes proposals on establishment of private universities in the state, irrigational projects, developmental projects, reorganisation of police commissioner system, data centre policy, and start up policy. 


In the meeting, a proposal was passed regarding:


Issuance of letter of intent for establishment of SDGI Global University, Ghaziabad in the private sector under the Uttar Pradesh Private University Act, 2019.


Issuance of letter of intent for the establishment of SDGI Global University, Ghaziabad in the private sector under the Uttar Pradesh Private University Act, 2019.


Issuance of letter of intent for the establishment of Major SD Singh University, Fatehgarh, Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh in private sector under the Uttar Pradesh Private University Act, 2019.


Issuance of letter of intent for the establishment of JSS University, Noida in the private sector under the Uttar Pradesh Private University Act, 2019.


The cabinet also gave nod for canal construction related to the Saryu Canal National Project in Siddharthnagar district and the transfer of 160.7608 hectares of non-forest land in lieu of 127.1637 hectares of forest land required for canal systems under Kanhar Irrigation Project.


Proposal for reorganisation of the police commissioner system was also passed in the meeting.


The cabinet also passed resolution for amendment in the mandate of the Revenue Department regarding the transfer of the land of the Divisional Commissioner Office Complex, Varanasi (Revenue Department) free of cost on the withdrawal of the Housing and City Planning Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh for the proposed integrated divisional level office construction project in the district Varanasi. 


In the education department, proposal was passed regarding delegation of rights and duties to the Director General, School Education by integrating all the directorates/offices of the Basic Education Department under the control of the Director General, School Education as well as all the directorates/offices under the control of the Secondary Education Department.


Amendment in Uttar Pradesh Data Center Policy, 2021 and Startup Policy, 2020 notified by Uttar Pradesh was also passed along with Uttar Pradesh Industrial Investment and Employment Promotion Policy, 2022.
