New Delhi: The Deepotsav in Ayodhya this year will be grander than ever as the Uttar Pradesh government is all set to celebrate Deepawali in a grand manner once again.


This time, the biggest attraction for devotees will be the amazing Aerial show to be held using 500 drones. The 10 to 12-minute show using these drones will showcase glimpses of Lord Ram's life.

The Ayodhya Deepotsav this time will be held for 3 days. Principal Secretary of Tourism Mukesh Meshram said that the closing ceremony of the International Ramayana Conclave will be a part of the celebration.


The Ayodhya carnival will also be organised here. Besides this, the Deepotsav aims to set a record of lighting 7.5 lakh diyas.


Mukesh Meshramexplained that ideas were sought from people to make Deepotsav grander. Based on the suggestions, a presentation has also been made and the work for the same is underway. The concept has been developed and many works have also been employed, he informed.


- A record was set by lighting 3,01,152 diyas in 2018 under Ayodhya Deepotsav.


- After that, another record was set by 4,04,026 diyas in 2019 and 6,06,569 diyas in 2020.


- Preparations are on to set another record by lighting 7.5 lakh diyas in 2021.


Target to light 7.5 lakh lamps this time


PM Narendra Modi is also likely to attend the deepotsav this time. Preparations are being made keeping this in mind. The theme of this year's Deepotsav can be prepared by Nitin Chandrakant Desai, an art director who created the Baahubali set. Nitin Chandrakant Desai himself has approached the Uttar Pradesh government and Ayodhya development authority for the same. Meanwhile, the Principal Secretary said that there have been many suggestions, many people have contacted.
