Gorakhpur: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday claimed that Uttar Pradesh has become India's emerging economy as it is moving fast on the path of development. "Uttar Pradesh is changing and has become the emerging economy of the country," the Chief Minister claimed in his address after inaugurating Mahant Avaidyanath College at Jungle Kauria in Gorakhpur. He further said that Uttar Pradesh ranks at the top of the implementation of 44 central schemes and the state has become the best investment destination in the world. He said, " we all have to work together to include Uttar Pradesh's name among the best economies of the country."


The Chief Minister also unveiled a 12 feet tall statue of Mahant Avaidyanath on the occasion. Yogi claimed that Uttar Pradesh is the best in the country in terms of security. During the last four years, 30,000 women policewomen of the state guaranteeing that women and daughters are safe in the state. He also said that his government has succeeded in preventing the Covid-19 pandemic. Earlier, the epidemic was at its peak during festivals, but the government has successfully regained control in its spread.


Yogi hit out at the opposition saying that during the tenure of previous governments in the state, roads were not wide, power supply was not good, the poor were not getting rations, and women were not guaranteed security. But when hard work is done with determination, the result also come good.


Earlier, farmers did not get the right price for their crop- Yogi


The chief minister also claimed that earlier farmers did not get the right price for their crops. But the present government has opened several purchase centres and purchased farmers' foodgrains at the support price. The Chief Minister said Gorakhpur is becoming a hub for education and health services under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The AIIMS will be inaugurated by PM Modi within a month. Also, Gorakhpur AYUSH University is also being constructed.


The chief minister said the Goraksh Peeth has presented the practical aspect of the puja and the temple is not confined to worship alone as more than 50,000 students are currently studying in four dozen educational institutions run by Maharana Pratap Shiksha Parishad Of Goraksh Peeth. Yogi said that Mahant Avaidyanath was a four-time MP and five-time MLA and had a close relationship with Jungle Kauria. The college built in his name will definitely lay the foundation stone for the overall development of the region.


Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Dr Dinesh Sharma said that while Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was fighting to save Uttar Pradesh from the Covid-19 pandemic, leaders of opposition parties were sitting in an air-conditioned room spending their time on Twitter.
