Three junior doctors of Uttar Pradesh's Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial Medical College were suspended after they were booked for allegedly assaulting the relatives of a boy who was brought to the hospital for treatment. The alleged incident took place on Monday night when a five-year-old boy, Kunal, was brought to the said hospital after getting his hand injured. Circle Officer Arvind Kumar cited the police complaint and said that the doctors thrashed the family members of the boy, news agency PTI reported. The Principal of the medical college has constituted an inquiry committee to probe into the matter.

As per the complaint, the child was in tears due to the pain he was in following which the relatives asked the doctors to give him 'proper treatment'. After hearing this, the doctors thrashed the family members including women, said police officials while talking to PTI.

When police reached the medical college, the accused doctors fled from the scene.
