New Delhi: Hours after a party official was arrested for allegedly making derogatory remarks on social media, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav claimed that the police and administration are working as a BJP worker in Uttar Pradesh. Akhilesh Yadav stated to members of the media in Lucknow that he does not anticipate "justice from the BJP government" due to the police and administration's support for those "who do injustice and lie," reported news agency ANI.

"Don't expect justice from BJP Govt. Police & admin are with those who do injustice & lie. Those who speaks truth will be punished. This isn't just about one day, BJP makes its people use derogatory language deliberately so that others respond," said SP chief.

Workers from the Samajwadi Party staged a protest against the arrest of SP media cell leader Manish Jagan Agarwal outside the Lucknow Police Headquarters, reported ANI.

Manish Jagan Agarwal, the operator of the Samajwadi Party media cell Twitter, was detained by Hazratganj police on Sunday on the grounds that he had been making indecent comments on social media for a considerable amount of time that were directed at various political figures.

The sources claim that the BJP and the Samajwadi Party's Twitter dispute lasted for some time.

Three cases have been filed against Manish Jagan Agarwal in Hazratganj Kotwali, according to police sources.

According to sources, Richa Rajput, the BJP Yuva Morcha's in-charge of social media, had also filed a case on January 4 against the Samajwadi party's Twitter handle.

Richa has reported rape and death threats to the Samajwadi Party Media Cell on Twitter. Akhilesh Yadav, the former chief minister, has also been held accountable if anything happens to her.

In her complaint, BJYM's social media coordinator, Richa Rajput, stated that the Samajwadi Party's official Twitter handle was threatening her with death and rape and that Akhilesh Yadav would be held accountable if anything happened to her. The Lucknow Police have opened a case at the Hazratganj police station in response to Richa's complaint.

Naresh Uttam Patel, the state chief of the Samajwadi Party (SP), filed an FIR against Richa Rajpoot claiming that she made offensive remarks about Dimple Yadav, the wife of SP MP and party chief Akhilesh Yadav.

At the Lucknow police station in Hazratganj, a case was filed against her. Additionally, the Samajwadi Party shared her tweets in which she disparaged Dimple Yadav and Akhilesh Yadav.

Richa Rajpoot had previously filed a complaint against Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Manish Jagan Agarwal, who is in charge of the party's social media cell, at the same police station on January 4.
