ABP Shikhar Sammelan 2024: Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) leader Jayant Chaudhary on Friday said that it still pains him that lost the the Baghpat seat in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. During the summit, while responding to journalist Rohit Singh Sawal's questions, Jayant expressed his feelings, expressing regret for his defeat and reflecting on what could have led to victory.
"Even today, I feel the pain of losing Baghpat. There's regret over the defeat. It feels like if certain steps had been taken, victory could have been achieved," the RLD leader said.

Here's What Jayant Said On His Alliance With BJP:
Jayant Chaudhary clarified that he had received no prior offer to form an alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party. He suggested that such speculations were intended to appease their supporters. He stressed a "new beginning" in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, stating that the "government's gesture of awarding the Bharat Ratna to Chaudhary Charan Singh had been well received". "When a government takes such actions, we should cooperate. Hence, we formed an alliance with the BJP," he stated.

Jayant's Clarification On Dissolution Of Alliance With SP:
When discussing the dissolution of the alliance with the Samajwadi Party (SP), RLD Chief Jayant Chaudhary stated that there were valid reasons for the decision. In response to former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav's remark that he offered seven seats to the RLD leader and he chose the BJP's two seats over SP's large offer, Jayant stated that "SP hadn't allocated all seven seats as claimed".
"One was given to Congress through the backdoor. The public endorses successful mathematics. I am accountable to my team. "It is incorrect to claim that we exploited them by forming an alliance with SP," he said.
Jayant On Campaigning For Ajay Mishra Teni In Lakhimpur Kheri:
When questioned about his stance on campaigning for Ajay Mishra Teni in Lakhimpur Kheri, Jayant Chaudhary admitted feeling somewhat uncomfortable. However, he indicated that he hadn't made a firm decision on the matter.
Regarding demands for an investigation into the death of Mukhtar Ansari, Jayant Chaudhary affirmed that an inquiry would indeed take place once the post-mortem report was available. "If anyone is found guilty, appropriate legal action will be taken," he affirmed.
