The Telangana police transferred a traffic police officer after he allegedly manhandled a lorry driver for parking in a "no-parking" zone. The incident occurred on Wednesday where Yadagiri, a sub-inspector at Jeedimetla traffic police station, was seen hitting the driver near Gandi Maisamma in Quthbullapur.
A video of the incident which was caught on camera also went viral on social media. The video showed the police personnel reportedly slapping the driver even after the latter said that he parked the vehicle due to technical issue.
The video was also shared on X by BRS party. In a reaction to the incident, BRS Working President and former Minister KT Rama Rao taking to X said, "What absolute garbage language is this @TelanganaDGP? Is this acceptable behaviour? Please remember that it is the citizens that pay the salaries of the police men & officials."

Responding to the incident, the Telangana Police said: "The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Cyberabad Jeedimetla Traffic Limits. Disciplinary action has been taken against the responsible officer, who has since been transferred from that station. We remain committed to serving the public 24/7."
