The Bhagwant Mann-led government in Punjab is committed to transforming education and securing a brighter future for the youth. By improving school infrastructure and elevating teaching standards, the Maan government is ensuring that students receive world-class education. One of the standout initiatives under this mission is the establishment of Schools of Eminence, which are setting new benchmarks in the education sector.
118 Schools of Eminence: A New Era in Education
Fulfilling its promise, the Maan government has opened 118 Schools of Eminence across 23 districts, outshining private institutions. These schools are not just about academics but about nurturing well-rounded individuals who can compete on a global level. With modern facilities, well-trained teachers, and an emphasis on holistic learning, Punjab’s students are now better equipped to take on the world.
Global Training for Principals and Teachers
To ensure that students get the best education, the government is also focusing on the educators. Punjab has become the first state in India to send over 300 teachers and principals for international training. Recently, 36 principals were sent to Singapore for a specialized leadership training program at the prestigious Principal Academy. This is the seventh batch of educators to receive such training, highlighting the government’s sustained efforts to bring global best practices into Punjab’s education system.
Setting New National Standards
Punjab is leading the way in teacher training, having sent nearly 500 educators for advanced training at both national and international levels. From Singapore to Finland to IIM Ahmedabad, teachers are receiving cutting-edge training in leadership and pedagogy, ensuring that students in government schools receive education on par with the best institutions worldwide.
A Continuous Learning Approach
The training programs are not a one-time effort but a continuous process. In previous batches:
- 198 principals and education officers attended a five-day leadership development program in Singapore.
- 72 primary school teachers received training in Finland, known for its world-class education system.
- 152 headmasters and education officers participated in specialized training at IIM Ahmedabad.
A Bright Future for Punjab’s Students
Education is the foundation of progress, and Maan government is ensuring that no stone is left unturned in providing the best learning opportunities to Punjab’s youth. With innovative initiatives, international exposure for educators, and a strong commitment to quality education, Punjab is set to witness a revolution in the education sector.
