PM Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated 3 National AYUSH Institutes, from Panji, Goa. The inauguration of the institutes aims to boost the infrastructure, attract more international collaboration and promote research in Ayurveda. AYUSH Ministry also aims to reach the larger community in every region of the nation to provide better and indigenous health care to the people.


3 National AYUSH Institutes inaugurated by Pm Modi named All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), Goa, National Institute of Unani Medicine (NIUM), Ghaziabad, and National Institute of Homeopathy (NIH), Delhi, in Panaji, Goa.


AYUSH College of Goa will have 50% reservation for Goan students.


PM Modi was in Goa to attend the an event of the World Ayurveda Congress (WAC) organized by the Ministry of AYUSH. The event was also attended by Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Ministery of AYUSH Sarbananda Sonowal. Addressing the WAC CM Sawant mentioned, PM Narendra Modi gave global reach to Ayurveda. Today I am announcing that we will create a Ministry of AYUSH in Goa for the AYUSH doctors of the state.”


PM Modi addressed the valedictory function of the 9th World Ayurveda Congress (WAC) in Panaji. While addressing he explains the importance of Ayurveda and how it makes people's lives better.  He mentioned how more than 30 countries have recognized Ayurveda as a traditional Medicine system. He also mentioned that the world is returning to our traditional method of treating illness. 


“These 3 institutions will give speed to the AYUSH healthcare system. Over 30 countries have recognized Ayurveda as a traditional medicine system. We have to promote Ayurveda in other countries also,” says PM Modi.

PM also mentioned, “Ayurveda is not just about treatment, it also promotes wellness. Yoga & Ayurveda are the new hope for the world. We had Ayurveda's result as well as effect, but we were lagging in terms of evidence. Therefore, today we've to do documentation of 'Data Based Evidence'”






 


All three AYUSH Institutes will add 400 more seats for students including UG, PG, and Doctoral courses as well. 550 beds will also be added to these streams. 


All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), Goa, will be developed as the wellness hub Ayurveda Promoting Medical Value Travel(MVT) and for this, it will provide the best possible facility for all the streams along with quality patient care services. Institute will also work as a center for national and international collaboration regarding academics and research. 


A local says, "All India Institute of Ayurveda has maximum facilities. It will create awareness about Ayurveda among the public."
