Senior Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Mukul Roy's family has claimed that he has been "untraceable" since Monday evening. The former railway minister's son while talking to the news agency PTI said that his father has been "missing" since Monday evening. "Till now I am unable to contact my father. He is untraceable." his son, Subhranshu told PTI.




News agency ANI reported that an official complaint was lodged at Kolkata's NSCBI Airport Police Station by his son last night.





As per Subhranshu, his father left for Delhi on Monday evening on an Indigo flight (GE-898). He added that the flight was supposed to land at 9:55 pm in Delhi on Monday but, his father could not be traced, reported PTI.

The TMC leader has been struggling with health issues since the demise of his wife and was even admitted to a hospital in February due to his health conditions.

Roy who was a former number two in TMC joined BJP in 2017 after the differences with the leadership of the party. He was then made the national vice president of the BJP. Following the 2021 assembly polls win on a BJP ticket, Roy returned to TMC when the results were announced.
