The son of a Shiv Sena leader died on Sunday after suffering a heart attack while arguing with an autorickshaw driver in Vasai in the Palghar district. Milind More was 45, and the incident reportedly took place while he was on vacation with his family at a resort in Navapur.
Milind More was the son of Raghunath More, former Thane district chief of the undivided Shiv Sena. Raghunath More became the Thane district president after the death of Anand Dighe in August 2001. Milind More served as deputy chief of the Thane unit of the Shiv Sena (UBT), party functionaries told PTI.
The argument began after the autorickshaw allegedly hit one of More's family members while reversing, The Times of India reported. More's family members, the report said, have alleged that the argument erupted into a physical clash. Police have registered of culpable homicide not amounting to murder against the unidentified accused, PTI reported.
PTI quoted Deputy Commissioner of Police Jayant Bajbale as saying that the incident took place late on Sunday evening.
While moving out of the resort, he said, Milind had an argument with a rickshaw driver.
"While moving out of the resort, he had an argument with a rickshaw driver, during which he collapsed and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Doctors there declared him dead on arrival and opined heart attack as the prima facie cause," he was quoted as saying by PTI.
Based on a complaint from More’s family, a case has been registered under Section 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita against an unidentified person, the DCP added.
