Rain-induced waterlogging in the Nadiad area of Gujarat's Kheda district led to a college bus getting stuck in an underpass. As per news agency ANI, the waterlogging was caused by heavy rains. In a video, students could be seen being pulled out from the bus window. Those who managed to come out helped their fellow mates come out of the bus with the help of locals who rushed to the spot and rescued all the students on the bus.


The video shows around five boys standing on an adjacent lane, helping students come out from the bus window while the waterlogging and jammed space made it difficult to make a normal exit. The students were being pulled out of the bus as two-wheelers tried to make their way into the narrow lane.






Earlier this week, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted rain over Gujarat. On Thursday, light rain accompanied by thundershowers was predicted for Dahod, Panchmahal, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Dang, and Tapi. As the monsoon progresses, light rain and thundershowers to Surat, Tapi, Dang, Navsari, and Valsad districts, as well as in Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli today. The Saurashtra region, comprising Porbandar, Gir Somnath, and Junagadh, may also experience similar weather patterns.


The state's weather patterns are expected to be influenced by the advancing monsoon system, bringing relief to the parched lands.


Valsad district in south Gujarat witnessed the initial showers this morning giving hope to farmers and residents eagerly awaiting the monsoon's arrival.


Following the trend, all districts of the South Gujarat region, including Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli, along with Porbandar, Gir Somnath, Junagadh, and Diu, are likely to witness light rain and thundershowers at isolated places tomorrow.
