Earlier, a law student at Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University died under mysterious circumstances. On Saturday, the student last attended a dinner following a client counselling event at the university guest house, as quoted by The New Indian Express.

RMLNLU spokesperson Shashank Shekhar in the report stated that the girl seemed fine until 9:30 pm when she was last seen at the university guest house. However, when her roommate returned to their hostel room at around 10 pm, she found the door locked from the inside. Despite repeated attempts to get a response, there was none.

The hostel matron was called, and the door was forced open, revealing the girl was unconscious on the floor. She was immediately taken to the hospital but was declared dead. The University has also cancelled classes for students for the reminder of the week.
