A massive fire broke out in an automobile service centre in Raipur, Chhattisgarh on Friday, according to a report by news agency ANI. The details regarding the extent of damage or any casualties are yet to be ascertained.
Jaipur House Fire Claims One Life
In Jaipur, a 33-year-old man, Mukesh Kumar Khatri, died after a fire broke out at his residence in Bahubali Nagar, Niwaru Road, news agency PTI reported. The fire, which is believed to have been caused by a short circuit, filled the house with smoke, leading to Khatri's unconsciousness and subsequent death due to suffocation.
"On receiving information about the fire, the police and fire brigade reached the spot. Khatri, who was found unconscious, was taken to Kanwatia Hospital, where doctors declared him dead," said Jhotwara SHO Ram Singh.
Khatri's brother and father were not present at home during the incident. SHO Ram Singh added, "His mother passed away this June, which had left him upset." The body was handed over to the family after the post-mortem on Friday.
Ghaziabad Factory Blaze Injures Four Firefighters
In another incident, four firefighters were injured while battling a massive fire that erupted in a factory in the industrial zone of Trans-Hindon area, Ghaziabad on Thursday. Chief Fire Officer (CFO) Manu Sharma reported that over two dozen chemical drums stored in the factory's warehouse exploded during the fire.
"We are trying to douse the blaze by spraying water from a distance to prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent factories," stated CFO Sharma, as per PTI. He further mentioned that the cause of the fire is yet to be determined. The injured firefighters were promptly taken to a private hospital for treatment. No casualties have been reported thus far.
