A police escort car of Bihar Minority Welfare Minister Jama Khan met with an accident in Rohtas which led to the death of a driver and left four security personnel injured. The injured were rushed to a hospital in Sasaram for treatment, as reported by news agency ANI. 






According to an India Today report, the injured included two woman officers Rani Kumari and Archana Kumari. The other two who got injured were identified as Manoj Kumar and Ramesh Kumar.


After initial treatment and primary care, the injured were referred to Varanasi, as reported by India Today.


Earlier on November 7, in a similar case, Union Minister Prahlad Patel's car met with an accident in Madhya Pradesh. The accident led to the death of one and three injured including the Union minister who sustained minor injuries.


Patel was travelling from Chhindwara to Narsinghpur when the accident took place.






The deceased was identified as a teacher, Niranjan Chandravanshi. 


Chandravanshi was returning home with his two children namely, Nikhil Niranjan (7) and Sanskar Niranjan (10) - on a bike. 


NDTV quoted a top district official Sudhir Jain as saying, "The injured people have been referred to Nagpur, one deceased is Niranjan Chandravanshi. A total of 3 persons got injured and were referred to Nagpur."


Dr MK Sonia, Civil Surgeon, said, "One injured has a head injury. A 10-year-old child is more serious and 17-year-old Jatin Chandravanshi also has a fracture. All three have been referred to Nagpur. Niranjan Chandravanshi, 33 years old, was brought dead," as reported by NDTV.
