New Delhi: Team India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh put his 'senior' and present team India head coach Rabi Shastri on a spot for only tagging Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli in a video of the Indian cricket team winning the 2011 World Cup.


Yuvraj Singh performed remarkably well for India and was deservedly adjudged 'Player of the tournament' as he scored 362 runs and bagged 15 wickets in nine games.

Some former players who were part of that World Cup-winning team, took to Twitter to celebrate nine years of India's 2011 World Cup win. Meanwhile, Shastri too had on Thursday tweeted: "Many Congratulations Guys! Something you will cherish all your life. Just like we from the 1983 group #WorldCup2011 - @sachin_rt @imVkohli."

To this Yuvraj replied: "Thanks senior ! U can tag me and mahi also we were also part of it."

Shastri wrote in his reply: "When it comes to World Cups, you are no Junior. Tussi Legend Ho @YUVSTRONG12 !"


It was today on April 2nd in the year 2011 when skipper MS Dhoni 'finished off in style' with a six to help team India lift the World Cup trophy for the second time.

Chasing a 275-run target for India, it was opener Gautam Gambhir and finisher M.S. Dhoni's heroic knocks that powered the home side to a six-wicket win with just 10 balls remaining.
