London: Sri Lanka batting legend Kumar Sangakkara may have retired from international cricket but he has not lost his elegance, finesse, and amazing touch.

Sangakkara is currently playing for Surrey in the England County circuit and is making waves with his conventional yet effective cricket shots. The 38-year old wicket-keeper batsman recently played in the Natwest T20 Blast and displayed his class once again to leave everyone in his awe.

The former Lankan skipper smashed 72 off just 35 deliveries in a simply flawless display of batting  against Hampshire in a Natwest T20 Blast encounter.

In his mesmerizing knock, Sangakkara also played a ‘Dil-Scoop’, which made Surrey cricket’s official Twitter handle tweet about the incident as they posted a video of the stroke and wrote, “Behave yourself @KumarSanga2.”

Eventually, Surrey went on to win the match by a mammoth 80 runs. Apart from the blitz from Kumar Sangakkara, Dominic Sibley gave the Lankan legend company with a skillful 67 off 49 deliveries.

Riding on Sangakkara and Sibley’s knocks, Surrey amassed 188 runs before the Ravi Rampaul and Dwayne Bravo led their bowling attack to dismiss Hampshire for a paltry 108 in 16.3 overs.
