Mumbai: Skipper Virat Kohli 70* (29) provided a great finishing touch following fiery knock from the opening duo of Rohit Sharma 71 (34) and Kl Rahul  91 (56) to propel team India to 240/3 in their 20 overs against West Indies at Mumbai's iconic Wankhade's stadium. Pollard's hard-fought 68 run knock went in vain as team India came up with an all-round performance to defeat West Indies by 67 runs in final T20I at Wankhede stadium and clinch the three-match series 2-1.

BCCI on Thursday took to Twitter to share video of all-rounder Hardik Pandya interviewing  KL Rahul after the match. During the interview, Pandya lauded the 27-year-old's heroic 91-run knock. "The way you guys were playing I felt like I should grab a bat and go inside and enjoy," Hardik Pandya said.

"We are waiting for you to come back quickly and the dressing room feels empty without you at least for me," KL Rahul replied.

Pandya, who is recovering from a back surgery he had in October, is leaving no stone unturned to make a comeback in India's squad for the tour of New Zealand, which takes place in January 2020.

In an interview, Hardik told IANS that this is not the first time he is looking to make a comeback from injury, but for him, it is about never giving up as he looks to stay mentally healthy in this phase.

"It might sound cool, but it is not easy to keep coming back as you need motivation. Yes, we all have motivation, but you need to be sure that you do not go down the wrong path. You don't question yourself and why is it happening to you. I try and back myself and stay positive. I have understood that every comeback gives me an edge and makes me stronger. I want people to say I learnt something when I was away due to injury."
