New Delhi: A mix of Indian and foreign players went under the hammer for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 auction and once the auction gets over, it'll be interesting to see how the final squads will look like.


In the IPL 2022 mega auction, many players who performed brilliantly in the Under-19 World Cup also went under the hammer. Yash Dhull, the young player who captained the U-19 World Cup winning team, did not secure a good amount in the auction. The teams did not put too many bids to buy him and eventually Delhi Capitals acquired him for just Rs 50 lakh, while some other players of India's U-19 team became millionaires.


Raj Bawa and Rajvardhan Hangargekar become millionaires!


U-19 World Cup winners Raj Bawa and Rajvardhan Hangargekar had contributed significantly in helping the Indian team achieve the title in the Under-19 World Cup.


The base price of Raj Bawa was Rs 20 lakh and he was bought by Punjab Kings for Rs 2 crore. Rajvardhan Hangargekar, on the other hand, had entered the auction with a base price of 30 lakhs and was bought by Chennai Super Kings for Rs 1.5 crore.


South Africa's Under-19 player makes a record in the IPL auction!


South African player Dewald Brevis, who performed well in the Under-19 World Cup, was bought by Mumbai Indians for a huge sum of Rs 3 crore. Mumbai Indians bought the young batter in the evening session on day 1 of the IPL auction. The base price of Dewald was only Rs 20 lakh, but his talent triggered a bidding war at the auction. Brevis is also popularly known as "Baby AB De Villiers" and "Baby AB". Dewald Brevis broke many records in the Under-19 World Cup.
