Jasprit Bumrah old tweet: Indian cricket team's star seamer Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the remaining two T20 Internationals between India and South Africa due to a back problem. His participation now in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022 is also doubtful after news agency PTI reported Bumrah has been ruled out from the ICC tournament due to a back stress fracture. However, the Board of Control for Cricket for India (BCCI) has confirmed Bumrah won't play remaining two T20Is against Proteas, nothing on his ouster from India's T20 World Cup 2022 squad.

A senior BCCI official told PTI, "Bumrah is not going to play the World T20 for sure. He has a serious back condition. It's a stress fracture and he could be out for a period of six months".
Meanwhile, amid concerns regrading Bumrah's fitness, an old inspirational tweet of his is going viral on social media.
"The comeback is always greater than the setback," Jasprit Bumrah had tweeted in August 2017 after team India beat Sri Lanka in an ODI match to win the three-match ODI series with 2 games remaining.
Just before the first T20 match between India and South Africa, Bumrah complained of back pain and had been ruled out of the match at Thiruvananthapuram. He also missed the Asia Cup 2022 due to his back problem and made a comeback in the last two T20Is against Australia.
BCCI on Friday announced Mohd. Siraj as replacement for injured Jasprit Bumrah for the remainder of the T20I series against South Africa.
Bumrah is the second valuable player to be ruled out after Ravindra Jadeja who is also recuperating from knee surgery.
