Indian cricketers are in complete shock by the sudden death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput as they expressed solidarity towards Sushant’s family.


Sushant, who superbly enacted former Indian skipper, MS Dhoni, in his biopic, was found hanging at his Bandra residence in Mumbai on Sunday.

Soon after the news of Sushant's passing away broke the internet, former and current cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar, Suresh Raina, Irfan Pathan, Aakash Chopra, Virender Sehwag and Harbhajan Singh expressed shock and condolence on social media.

"Shocked and sad to hear about the loss of Sushant Singh Rajput. Such a young and talented actor. My condolences to his family and friends. May his soul RIP," Tendulkar tweeted.


"Shocked to hear about Sushant Singh Rajput. This is so difficult to process. May his soul RIP and may god give all the strength to his family and friends," Kohli wrote on Twitter.

News of Sushant's death comes within days of the news that his former manager Disha Salian's death. Reportedly, he was not in good state of mind.

Rajput is best known for his titular role in Neeraj Pandey's 2016 release, ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story', the biopic of former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
