Sanju Samson, one of the most promising batters in white-ball format, was picked in the Indian squad for the Sri Lanka series but an injury ruled him out. India vs Sri Lanka 3rd ODI took place at Kerala's capital, Thiruvananthapuram, which is Sanju's hometown and his chants were always on cards.

Suryakumar Yadav didn't play first two ODIs between India and Sri Lanka and his return in the series finale wasn't a memorable one. The star batter scored just 4 runs off 13 balls.

Virat Kohli, the talismanic Indian batter, played an unbeaten innings of 110-ball 166 runs in IND-SL 3rd ODI  to help his team give a massive target of 391 runs to Sri Lanka for the win.

It was a clinical win for India all-through. After centuries from Virat and Shubman Gill (116 runs off 97 balls) set the hosts up, Mohammed Siraj's lethal bowling in second innings (4-wicket haul) bowled out the visitors for a mere total of 73 in 22 overs.
