ABP Live's Exclusive Detailed Interview With Mrs. Priyanka AC (Mother of Sharan Gorajala)

On Daily Nutrition Of Sharan:

"First of all thank you. Thank you for encouraging such talent. I would also like to thank the International Book of Records for having a platform for kids of this sort, who have talent and can showcase."

"Coming to the nutrition part, Sharan, we have not given him anything extraordinary. Daily homemade mood, we make sure he daily consumes at least 1 fruit and 1 vegetable, specifically spinach or an egg. So it is a very balanced meal we have been following, and it's all home-cooked meal."

On Promoting Home Food Over Performance-Enhancement Supplements:

"Absolutely.., absolutely! Not given him any packed food till date. We do not use any (packeted food)."

On Sharan's Daily Training Routine:

"So every morning, we usually have a habit of taking him out whenever me and my husband go for a walk or a jog. So both of us take him with us. It's the father-son time they share on the playground. Every morning, he is used to see people walking, running, playing, or doing some physical activity around him.

On Discovering Sharan's Wonderful Talent For The Very First Time:

"Actually, I 've seen a lot of kids loving to ride on the bikes, swing cars, and everything. To increase their speed, they love to ride a vehicle, but I have not seen Sharan, even though he loves to ride his cycle, but he never use to like any ride-ons. Everytime kids got on the ride-ons, he would love running instead and he would run faster than the ride-ons.

"Everyday, he would run around in the house. Like literally, from morning to evening, he would run around like 70 to 80 to 100 times he would run around the hall."

On Putting Sharan Into Any Professional Sport:

"Yes, absolutely, also, I have not given him access to mobile phones. Every meal time, we make sure I keep him engaged. He doesn't even know he has a world record to his name. People come around, and he just says 'thank you'. That's the only word he knows. He just knows to run, he's very innocent and at very tender age."

"Actually, I have no sport in my mind to push him to. Even running is something he loves to do. We just observed his passion to do something, and that's how we took it forward. If he wans to runs further, we will encourage him, and I will definitely introduce him to every sport. Taking it forward, and we will encourage him for whichever sport he is passionate about. That's what we, as parents, want to do."

On How Sports Help In Development Of A Child:

"Actually, sports is a, in fact any physical activity for that matter, be it sports, art or any form is important in a child's development. It gives a sense of confidence, freedom, mainly helps in skill development. And also, their mind is very free and fresh, and happy."

"Being positive and happy is the ultimate goal of any child for that matter. As parents, that is what we think. Giving him the best is what every mother and father want to do, it is the ultimate goal of every parent. The bets we can give is a balanced life and an opportunity, exposure, and a space to do what they love to do."
