Ravindra Jadeja Test return: Indian cricket team's senior all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja took to Twitter to share an emotional post for his fans ahead of his much-awaited return to the playing field. The 34-year-old shared a picture of an Indian Test jersey with his name written on it and captioned the post: "Missed you.But soon." Jadeja, who hasn't played any competitive cricket since the Asia Cup in September, was named in India's 17-member squad for upcoming first two Tests in India vs Australia four-match Test series, starting from February 9 in Nagpur. However, his availability is subject to fitness.

Ravindra Jadeja has been undergoing rehab at the National Cricket Academy after a knee surgery and will play first-class cricket to prove his fitness for India-Australia Tests. The senior player will play for Saurashtra in the final round of the Ranji Trophy against Tamil Nadu in Chennai, set to commence on January 24.

Ravindra Jadeja had to miss Asia Cup in September last year due to injuries and later he wasn't able to play the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia - the ICC tournament in which team India were knocked out after facing a humiliating 10-wicket loss against England in the semi-finals.

While speaking to Indian Express in a recent interview, Indian spinner R Ashwin had shared an update on Jadeja's comeback.

"I put in a lot of work whenever a home series happens. I'm expecting (Ravindra) Jadeja to come through (be fit in time) but I like expanding more angles. I got some things in my head. I've been watching Australia play in Australia. I'd like to be working on some different angles, something new", Ashwin said.
